What does it mean to dream big?

Key ideas and scriptures from today’s podcast.

One implication of the Spirit filling us at Pentecost is to be re-ignited for the purposes of God.

His Holy Spirit empowers us to dream big.

What does it mean to dream big?

We have to believe in faith that God has a dream for us.

We have to have our dreams aligned with God’s dream.

The first part of God’s dream is that His kingdom would come, His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. The second part of that is He would be our God and we would be His people

Next, to dream big we are offered the opportunity to “collaborate with God.”

Throughout scripture, the invitation of God is to “sing a new song”. This is much bigger than just being about music.

We can create something special when the Spirit of the Lord fills our creative endeavors. Consider the example of Bezalel in Exodus 31, he was filled with wisdom, knowledge, and skill to become a master artisan.

“See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, 3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— 4 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, 5 to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.“ Exodus 31:3-4

So … create with God and build an awesome body of work!

The Lord be with you!
