Arise Oh Lord

This is a spontaneous song recorded live last time I led @ Belmont Church. It just “happened” as an intro to The Shema, so we rolled with it.

The Shema

Jesus said that Deuteronomy 6:4 (also known in Hebrew as the Shema) was the Greatest Commandment (Mark 12:29-30). The Shema is central to most Jewish worship services.

Here is a very simple and short echo song of the scripture.

Echo songs are great teaching tools for adults and children. I’ve used this in many cultures and languages as a call to worship. (Note: The song begins about 2:15 in the video)
