I wrote this song with the idea of keeping “Christ” in “Christmas”. Lyrically, I’m trying to summarize the Incarnation story. Musically, I was in a piano-playing-Billy-Joel-meets-Beatles = how-many-chords-and-modulations-can-I-put-in-this-song frame of mind.

The Meaning of Christmas
Long ago and far away
God as a baby in a manger laid
Seekers and sages sought him in that day
And those who found him were forever changedAnd the meaning of Christmas is Christ was here
History forever changed when God as man appeared

Jesus changes everythingAs the prince of peace he was innocence
