Unto The Least of These

In the parable of The Sheep and the Goats, Jesus says:

^ “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, ^36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” Matthew 25:35-36

Clearly the actions we put to our faith matter. They matter to the Lord, they matter to “the least of these”, and they matter to our eternal destiny. 

There is a reward for loving your neighbor as yourself.

Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. Matthew 25:34

I don’t do too well in this area on a consistent basis and that is convicting.

Prayer: “Lord by your grace, help me live more like a sheep than goat! Forgive me. In Jesus name, amen.”

I am writing a devotional series called “Season of Light” (#SeasonOfLife) during the beginning of 2016, focusing on the 40 day season of Epiphany (from January 6 – February 10).
