Happy New Year!

It was a really great service today at HFUMC.  We opened with the video “A New Year” based on one of my favorite scriptures.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV

Psalm 96 instructs us to “sing to the Lord a new song” and that’s exactly what we did.  We introduced 2 songs that were new* to our 10 week old contemporary service. Together we declared “This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24)
