We had much to give thanks for at Christ Community Church, McMinnville, TN. I really appreciate the good folks there and the wonderful worship team players.

It was also the first weekend of the Advent season. There are  some great insights and resources on Advent at Mark Rogers blog site.

One emphasis is the idea of waiting in hopeful anticipation. There was a nice worship moment when I shared this scripture from Romans 8 in the bridge of Jesus Messiah (“All our hope is in You/All our hope is in You/ All glory to You God / The Light of the World” ):

For in hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what is seen? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. (Rom 8:23-25)

Today’s setlist:

Your Grace Is Enough
Your Love Never Fails
Jesus Messiah
Scripture: Romans 8:23-25 reading
Oh Come Let Us Adore Him (Chorus only)
Communion
Forever
Message: Paul Roberts -  Jesus came for the “unhealthy, not the healthy”
Jesus Messiah (reprise)

By the way every song was in the key of “G”, certainly made the transitions smoother.

Question: What is one moment that stood out for you this weekend? Why? We love comments!
