Romans 8:11

“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.” Romans 8:11  [Sunrise photo April 2, 2013]

Day 2 Resurrection Power

Death cannot keep its prey, Jesus my Savior;
he tore the bars away, Jesus my Lord!

Up from the grave he arose;
with a mighty triumph o’er his foes;
he arose a victor from the dark domain,
and he lives forever, with his saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!

Hallelujah! Christ arose!
Up From The Grave – Robert Lowry, 1826-1899

Jesus coming back from the dead  is THE game changer. The whole Christian faith is based on this central fact.

What does that mean for you and me? Everything.

For starters, nothing is impossible.

This is the power of God available for us. “Everything is possible to one who believes” Mark 9:23

Meditate on this truth. His resurrection power rescued all creation, and it will transform your life.

Let faith rise up.  The power that raised Jesus from the grave will accomplish the purposes of God in your life.

Romans 8:11 articulates this promise of God to redirect our destiny, the way we live in the here and now – from death to life:

“But for you who welcome him, in whom he dwells—even though you still experience all the limitations of sin—you yourself experience life on God’s terms. It stands to reason, doesn’t it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he’ll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ’s!” Romans 8:11 (The Message)

There is power, power,
wonder working power
in the precious blood of the Lamb.
“Power in The Blood”- Words & Music: Lewis E. Jones, 1899

Prayer:

I invite you to pray this prayer.

“God fill me today with your Spirit, the Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead. Fulfill your purposes for me today. In Jesus name. Amen.”
