Psalm 33 is such a powerful song! It is “A liturgy in praise of the Lord, the sovereign God of Israel. In the Psalms, calls to praise (v.1-3) and motivations for praise (v.4-19) belong to the language of praise.” (NIV Study Bible commentary)
I love verse 6 because it gets to the heart of the matter.
“By the word of the Lord were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of His mouth.”
When God speaks, it’s not a suggestion or a notion. His words are all-powerful and the overflow of His fierce love.
Listen to Him.
Trust his word.
He is faithful and good in all He does.
